Sound Data Solutions is happy to produce custom reports, mixing and matching data and sources that you know you need.
We also provide "off the shelf" reports that can be generated more quickly, and have been shown to meet the needs of planners already. Take a look below.
Off The Shelf Services

Just the Data
This simple option is just the data you want for the year(s) you select. We'll meet with you to present the data options available, understand your needs and timelines, and then get to work. You'll get an Excel and/or Word file of charts and data tables, ready for use by you in your final products.

Change Over Time
Either of the above options can be expanded to include analysis over time (when available). This is where the data collected by SDS really shines, to show not only where you are, but where you were in years past - so you can consider both where you are headed, and how to adjust course appropriately.
With Analysis
In this additional option, we'll analyze the data for you, search for other data that might be a valuable addition, and present it in a report ready to serve as an appendix to a planning document or presentation to a city council. We will present a rough draft of the analysis for you to review and request additions or clarifications to, then finalize.
Presentation
SDS has over a decade of public speaking and presentation experience. We would be happy to present the information we collect for you to your decision makers, whether senior leadership, elected officials, or the public. We will make sure the presentation supports the goals of the work, is digestible by the audience and leaves a lasting impact.

Comprehensive Analysis
SDS gathers data for all jurisdictions available, and will be happy to make comparisons for you at all levels available. For example, how does a city compare against the county and state? How does your jurisdiction compare with the larger metropolitan area?

Local Collaboration
SDS is familiar with interfacing with local data and information providers, such as assessors offices, housing providers, state agencies, chambers of commerce, and more, to gather information from your local partners. We'll be happy to work with your local partners and providers to provide a full picture of your community.
Data Sources
SDS is always gathering new data, and welcome requests to add a new data source just for you!
For now, here is the data we have available to analyze for you:
US Census Bureau American Housing Survey
US Census Bureau, American Communities Survey
Bureau of Labor Statistics OEWS and Consumer Expenditure Surveys
